Missionary McClure | Idaho Falls Missionary Photographer
“Dear Elder McClure,
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. You should report to the Provo MTC on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.”
When Nathan posted this on Facebook I was so excited for him. Nathan was one of my first students during my short, but well-loved art/history teaching career at Compass Academy in Idaho Falls. This kid is funny, genuine, sincere, and smart. (He was a good student too. lol) I can’t believe he is graduating and headed out on a mission. What an exciting, wonderful time in his life and I am so glad that I got to be a small part of it by taking his missionary pictures. (It was super easy since Nathan is a good looking kid and a natural poser.) I’m excited to hear reports of his mission as he serves the people of Georgia for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are lucky to have him there. I just hope that this Idaho boy can stand all the humidity of the South.
Nathan wanted a combination of nature and buildings for his photos. I think the City Hall building worked perfect for a more formal look and we were able to find some green in April for some nice greenery ones. I loved his pink tie. His mom told me he is a tie guy. I had to ask where he got it so I could get one for my husband. In case anyone else wants to know: American Eagle.
Good luck Nathan with your future mission, your preparation for it, and you high school graduation that all coming up very soon. I know that you will do great in all your endeavors!
