Sandy Downs Engagements| Idaho Falls Photographer | Brendon and Brittany

I met Brittany at Bree and Conner’s Rexburg temple wedding¬†which also happens to be the exact location that Brittany and Brendon met! They both came back to Idaho Falls from Utah one weekend to do engagements at Sandy Downs. Sandy Downs is a great place to do engagements. I love the sage brush and the rolling hills of sand that these two climbed like champs. The sun was warm and it was the first time in months that I was able to take off my jacket, making my photographer heart happy. We couldn’t ask for a more beautiful evening as we started at the tree farm and then ended with a sunset at Sandy Downs and everything was made better by being able to capture their love. I had Brittany tell me their love story and it had me giggling. Be sure to take a look. :)

Their Love Story

“Everything with Brendon has been so awkward and funny! We met at two of our friends’ wedding-I was a bridesmaid, he was a groomsmen. We were talking throughout the whole wedding day, and at the end of the reception, the grooms’ parents MADE US exchange numbers in front of his parents! SO awkward! But it just goes to show that everyone knew from the beginning that we were meant to be.

On our first date, we played laser tag and mini golf, and then we went to watch the sunset, but it was cloudy! And we got stuck in the mud! Our first time meeting was funny, our first date was funny, and we also had the most awkward first kiss ever! He tried to kiss my cheek and I tried to turn out of it, and somehow it just happened!

So since all of that was awkward, of course nine months later when he proposed that would be awkward too! He planned a “dance party” with my ward and said he had to work. I was supposed to pick up my roommates, which was the clue I was on my way, but I was late so I didn’t. Then I saw my married friends at the singles’ ward activity, so that’s when I knew something was up. Then, while waiting for him to show up, I went to change the music and walked in on him changing it to “our song.” He made me go back into the other room so he could come in at the right time, get down on one knee, and pop the question! Of course I said yes! Even though all of our important moments together have been awkward, they are cherished now and I know they will be even more in the future. I love that we have funny moments we can look back on. We always say that it’s been “perfectly imperfect!” I have completely fallen in love with Brendon, and they say it just gets better from here! We couldn’t be more excited to get married and share our lives together. I love how good he is to me, how he speaks my love language, and how supportive he is. We are a team in every way, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Thank you Brittany and Brendon for letting me be a small part of your story.
