Spring Rexburg Temple Wedding | Ashley & Trevor
I love Spring weddings. And I love Spring weddings at the Rexburg Temple! Rexburg is notorious for being cold and the spring is no exception. However, there wasn’t a cloud in sight when I arrived in Rexburg and pulled up into the parking lot. As I walked towards the temple to wait for Ashley and Trevor to come out I saw a HUGE crowd around the doors. I spotted some of my favorite individuals: the Judy family. The Judy family is in my ward at church and they are pillars of strength. I truly admire the generosity of this family. (Two summers ago we were redoing our patio and trying to do it ourselves to save money. It was proving to be very challenging. Rhett and his boys came over and helped us tear out the sprinkler system and put it back together. Every time I look at my backyard I think of that evening and how grateful I was for their help.)
I told Trevor at one point during the day that he was a lucky man to marry into such an awesome family. By the end of the day, I knew I was wrong. Both Ashley and Trevor are lucky to have such great in-laws. This union is the joining of some really amazing people. Trevor’s family was welcoming and warm to me the entire day and I grew to really respect them. Trevor is a gem himself. I love seeing him and Ashley interact. Trevor sincerely thanked me at the end of the day for being there and taking photos of the special moments. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a groom thank me before and it meant a lot.
We did Ashley and Trevor’s bridals two weeks before and I was going to include them in this post but there are too many images from their day, you can find them later this week here.
I loved the gold accents that Ashley had in her bouquet. It was stunning. Pink is always a really popular color for weddings. I love that Ashley incorporated black and white as well. It was a really beautiful reception with strung lights.
Trevor’s aunt, Sally Whittaker owns Cake Adoration. She made this beautiful cake in Utah and drove it all the way up here. It was amazing. I loved all the detail that she put into it. Look at the determined look. Trevor shared his mother-son dance with his mother-in-law. Claudine never got to dance with her son at his wedding. They were invited to join them on the dance floor. The daddy-daughter dance had everyone crying. Rhett was really emotional. Ashley is his only daughter and they have a very special bond. Ashley’s brothers on the side watching their sister dance were in tear. It was so sweet. Sibling hug.
