Swan Valley Mountain Engagements | Laura & Jacob
If you know me, you KNOW that I LOVE heading to the mountains to shoot. I feel the mountains are romantic, soft, and intimate. I love that my brides are adventurous and willing to climb mountains to get some amazing shots for their engagements and bridals. I am so excited for this beautiful engagement shoot that we did in the mountains of Swan Valley. Laura and Jacob are a serious model couple. Laura’s makeup was done by the talented Kasey Marcum (seriously recommend getting professional makeup for your photoshoot!)
Laura and Jacob are high school sweethearts from Rigby Highschool. (So cute right?) They hung out with the same group of friends and never really dated. Once they did, it was magic. These two are so cute together, constantly laughing and cuddling. It was wonderful to photograph them. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in June at the Sereno.
Our plan for this shoot was to get in the car and drive. The rain storm rolling in had us starting a lot earlier than planned. We started at Fall Creek Falls in Swan Valley. It was beautiful, even though the water was mucky due to the spring runoff. The wind though was really bad with Laura’s long, blonde hair. So we drove up a little further up the mountain to see if we could hide from it. The storm was following up but we were able to stay 15-20 minutes ahead of it at the few locations we stopped at along the way.
And the added bonus of photographing in the mountains is stopping for famous square ice cream at Rainey Creek Country Store. I can recommend the Chocolate Pretzel Palazzo as one of the best ice creams I have ever tasted. Yum!
Be on the lookout for these two’s bridals. They are stunning!
